Design Consultants collaborate with clients to help them plan and design their spaces. By elevating design and embodying the HOULTE Experience (Positive, Inspiring, and Exploring), Design Consultants will maximize our company's sales growth and profitability. Their expertise, teamwork, passion for design, mastery of design tools, and innovative sales techniques will deliver an exceptional client experience.

A day in the life as a Design Consultant...

• Drive sales and deliver a differentiated experience by providing rich customer interactions and offering premium design products to clients in a virtual environment.
• Create premium HOULTE designs for clients using preferred design tools to create mood boards, floor plans, product lists, and style inspiration.
• Conduct one-on-one design consultations via email, phone, and virtual meetings. Deliver projects within the stipulated timeframe.
• Develop a clear understanding of the HOULTE brand aesthetic and marketing strategy across all channels (in-store, online, catalog).
• Achieve personal sales, KPI and service goals, and engage customers through strong selling techniques.
• Stay informed about market and industry trends.
• Actively listen to customers to determine which products best meet their needs and communicate loyalty programs when applicable.
• Support and exemplify excellent service virtually, ensuring friendly, fast, and efficient assistance for all customers.

What you'll bring to the table...

• Understanding of basic design functions including space planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design style.
• Excellent, timely communication skills and the ability to translate HOULTE brand vision and client needs into real solutions.
• Strong interest in technology (Google Suite, design tools, video conferencing) and proficiency in floor planning.
• Ability to stay current on design trends and execute the design process within company guidelines.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

• 2+ years of experience in interior design, furniture sales, consulting, event planning, or customer service.
• Availability to work weekdays and evenings as part of a full-time role.
